Be still and find rest in our hidden chapel and peaceful garden on the edge of the Peak District. Whirlow Spirituality Centre is resourced by the Christian tradition and welcomes all who find solace here.

The Centre is a safe place of quiet and peace for worship, reflection and hospitality. We run a varied programme of events and services. Our spaces are also available for hire and for personal prayer or reflection and for larger events.

Based at the Chapel of the Holy Spirit, the Spirituality Centre is resourced and managed in partnership with Whirlow Grange Ltd. ‘Whirlow’ exists to offer hospitality in context of broad and deep spiritual nurturing; it seeks to be a place of solace and sanctuary for all.

Set in attractive, tranquil gardens, Whirlow's Chapel and adjacent rooms are an ideal location for quiet days, retreats or events. The main buildings are fully accessible and for hire on a sessional basis (morning, afternoon or evening.) To discuss whether we are a good match for you, please get in touch.

A number of smaller spaces at Whirlow Spirituality Centre are also bookable for personal prayer and reflection, and our gardens are always available to visitors.

We do not offer overnight accommodation or provide catering, other than ample supplies of tea and fresh coffee(!), but we are happy to advise on local catering services and we have a small, well equipped kitchen which you are welcome to use.
