Mark was ordained in 1988 and has served in five dioceses around the UK in various capacities as Associate Vicar, Bishops Officer for Evangelism, Canon Missioner, Vicar and Rural Dean. He was made a founder member of the College of Evangelists in 1999 and continues this prime calling to be sharing the gospel locally and more widely in the newly constituted Archbishops College of Evangelists. He led for four years the country’s second largest beach mission (team of 70 and over 600 children), shared in the leadership for the countries first Cathedral’s and evangelism consultation and contributed extensively to the Diocese of Rochester beyond the Parish where he was Vicar. He is still an honorary Canon of Rochester Cathedral.
He is delighted to be part of a large and vibrant Christian family at All Saints. He leads the team and particularly enjoys seeing people use their God given gifts fruitfully, so that the whole family of the Church is connected well with their networks, neighbourhoods, communities and city. He seeks to support the wider Diocesan family with its broader direction of travel and transition in keeping with its own vision as Area Dean of Ecclesall. He is the Vicar of All Saints Ecclesall, within the mission partnership shared with St Gabriel’s Church, and Area Dean of Ecclesall. Mark is married to Allison and they have five adult children.
